FCCS 22000

The FSSC 22000 standard was created by the nonprofit FSSC organization (Food System Safety Certification) and is a complete and comprehensive certification scheme for companies in the food chain, key elements in standard ISO 22000: 2005 (Food Safety Management System - Requirements for organisms in the food chain) and the ISO / TS 22002-1: 2009 standard (to determine requirements for prerequisite programs).

The FSSC 22000 certification scheme has been successfully validated and recognized by the GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative Committee) in 2009, as equivalent to other corresponding shapes like BRC Standard for Food, the IFS Food Standard and the SQF Code. The aim was to determine specific requirements for basic conditions and activities that are necessary to maintain proper healthy environment, known as prerequisites (PRPs), which the ISO 22000: 2005 are referred to as measures for evaluation.

The FSSC 22000 is addressed to all of the chain enterprises of food involved in the production, processing and / or standardization of food than primary production, particularly suited to firms because of their export activities wishing to be certified in a format acceptable to top food companies worldwide.
